Step by step

  1. 1Stand facing a high cable pulley with a straight bar attachment.
  2. 2Keep your arms straight with a slight bend in the elbows.
  3. 3Pull the bar down toward your thighs, keeping your arms straight.
  4. 4Slowly let the bar rise back to shoulder height.

Exhale as you pull down, inhale as you release.

Common mistakes

  • Bending the elbows to turn it into a pushdown
  • Using the hips to generate momentum
